Brand MicroBT

MicroBT released the M21S series of Whatsminer ASIC miner almost immediately after the release of M20S for cryptocurrency mining using the SHA-256 algorithm.  The company supplied the boards with KF1921 chips made according to the 12 nm process at Samsung's production facilities.

Released ASIC-miner unambiguous advantages over competitors:

  • Ergonomics - the equipment has a built-in power supply on top, allowing practical placement of the technique on farms
  • Low noise level and high thermal conductivity of radiators, ensuring reliable protection and long-term chip operation
  • Two mining modes - standard and economy with low power consumption

When releasing Whatsminer M21S MicroBT used what has become a standard, a marketing ploy, to produce two models of the same series, but with different hash rate and cost.  Otherwise, the models had the following identical characteristics:

  • Operating Algorithm: SHA-256
  • Cooling system: air
  • Processor type and process size: KF1921, 12nm
  • Hash rate: 56-58 TH/s
  • Power consumption: 3300-3360W
  • Power Efficiency: 56-60 J/TH
  • Operating temperature range: 5-45C
  • Noise level: 75 dB
  • Weight: 12,5 kg
  • Dimensions: 155x240x390

The ASIC-mainers show the above mentioned parameters "out of the box" with the factory software settings. Independent developers and engineers of MicroBT, with the lapse of time select the optimal settings. They are implemented in the custom and stock firmware, which is available in a special section of our website.

The miner's upgrade allows the fullest disclosure of the features of the 12nm processor, increasing the profitability of mining and accelerating the return on the investment in equipment.
