Avalon 1066

The Avalon 1066 was the first Canaan ASIC miner to get four air-cooling fans. These fans were now placed in two on each side of the ASIC miner body, significantly improving heat exchange. 

This allowed the company to offer customers an increased hash rate while still using the same 16nm A3205 chips as on the previous types of the 10-series. The presence of two modes of cryptocurrency mining using the SHA-256 algorithm, was another innovation of this model.

As you can see from the above characteristics, Canaan significantly increased the size, weight and noise of the miner, which became almost completely similar to the Antminer, but continued to be inferior to the flagship Bitmain on the hash rate.

As time passed, this did not become a problem. ASIC miner owners gained access to custom and stock firmware that increases hash rate by optimizing power consumption.

In October 2019, Canaan releases the latest and most powerful model in its 10-series of ASIC miners. The Avalon 1066 Pro showed off the maximum capabilities of the 16nm A3205 processor, and also got an integrated Kedryte K2I0 neural network with an intelligent SoC controller.

Upgrading Avalon 1066 Pro gives the owner more income from cryptocurrency mining, reduces the size of the initial investment in the mining farm.
