The release of Whatsminer M32 in August 2020, was another attempt by MicroBT to offer customers a budget version of a high-performance ASIC miner, for cryptocurrency mining using the SHA-256 algorithm.

Bitcoin, the main coin to be mined on Whatsminer M32 became, at the time went through a halving of the remuneration for miners who needed to replace the equipment. MicroBT was able to convince that Whatsminer M32 is the most compromise solution of the middle price segment. with excellent performance characteristics, "broken down" into three series models with different hash rates:

  • Working Algorithm: SHA-256
  • Cooling system: air
  • Processor and process size: Samsung, 8nm
  • Hash rate: 62-66-68 TH/s
  • Power Consumption: 3348-3360W
  • Power Efficiency:34- 52-48.7 J/TH
  • Operating temperature range: 5-45C
  • Noise level: 80 dB
  • Weight: 10.5 kg
  • Dimensions: 350x150x240

As you can see from the above numbers, MicroBT has emphasized energy efficiency in the M32 version. A year of use has revealed another plus, the most reliable operation of the chips in these models of all series. As the experience with the equipment accumulated, independent developers and company employees, created custom and stock firmware with optimal settings.

Actual updates are available on our site in special section. Installation of custom and stock firmware is important for older versions of ASIC-mainers, because of the increase in profitability of mining or the life of the equipment.
