After a four-year pause, Bitmain decided to update the ASIC miner for Litecoin mining. The release of Antminer L7 is associated with a huge interest in Dogecoin, the blocks of which are mined using the same algorithm.
Presented by the industry leader, the new Antminer L7 model became the best in its class, showing a 4-fold superiority over the competitor Innosilicon A6 + Ltcmaster. This ASIC miner mines blocks of LTC, DOGE and other scrypt coins with a hashrate of 2200 MH/s.
The previous Bitmain ASIC miner, acquired in 2021 by Elon Musk for DOGE mining, produces only 600 MH/s. Antminer L7 has the following parameters:
Features of r L7
|Size||195 x 290 x 370mm|
The ASIC miner shows 9500 MH/s on the Scrypt algorithm, which is used in Litecoin, Dogecoin, DigByte, Verge blockchain and a dozen smaller altcoins. The equipment consumes 3425 watts of power, performing PoW calculations with an energy efficiency of 0.36 W/MH.
To date, according to specs, this is the most profitable device on the market. Miners who have invested in equipment can expect no competition in the next couple of years. This is how much time it will take chips manufacturers to overcome the production deficit.
The model is quite difficult to evaluate for advantages and disadvantages. The Antminer L7 has just “rolled off the assembly line” and the miners have not accumulated enough data on the operation of this equipment.
